Alva

Alica is new to the OCTA board.  She has been involved with community theatre for the last several seasons following a decade of involvement with the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Theatre.  She served as the costume mistress of the department from 2009-2016.  She also serves on the board for the Miss NWOSU pageant and the board for the Miss Cinderella Pageant.

She fell in love with theatre at 7, when she played the role of Snow White in a children’s play.  Her first community theatre production was during elementary school.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwestern.  She is currently completing a Master of Arts in American Studies with an emphasis in Theatre and History.  She is currently volunteering for both Alva Community Theatre (ACT1) and Northwestern’s Theatre Department.  She has experience in costuming, lighting, sound, publicity, makeup, and directing.  For her senior capstone, she directed and designed for The Hiding Place, and was honored at the Regional KCACTF festival in 2012.  She is currently the Coordinator of Printing Services at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and recently worked on the Waving Wheat Trilogy in Wardrobe.  She wants to share her passion for theatre with the next generation and to continue on a strong tradition of theatre and the arts in her community.
