Sand Springs

Patty’s interest in theatre began in High School when she was cast as Laurey in the Musical Oklahoma!.  At Oklahoma State University, she was a part of the Student Entertainers and traveled throughout Oklahoma singing with the OSU Gospel Singers. She also took acting and vocal lessons in college but graduated with a degree in Recreation - the only Public Service degree at the time. Her career work was 26 years with Tulsa County Parks where she coordinated many classes and events, including drama camps and the Tulsa Easter Pageant. She has been involved with Sand Springs Community Theatre since it’s 2007 inception serving on the board as Secretary, President and is currently the Production Manager.  She loves Production Managing because this involves her in some way with every show SSCT does. She has also stage managed and played many character roles with SSCT.  Patty is also serving on the Sand Springs City Council and believes that SSCT is a vital component of economic development and leisure service.  “I believe being involved in theatre management on a statewide level will give me valuable insight from some of the best in the business that I can take back to Sand Springs. Hopefully my management training and experience will be an asset to OCTA and we can show donors / sponsors  what an impact Community Theatre has in their constituents lives.”
