SUMMARY:Ken Ludwig’s “Moon Over Buffalo”
DESCRIPTION:Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo Directed by Paul Weber\nFeb 12-15 19-22 \nIn the madcap comedy tradition of Lend Me a Tenor\, the hilarious Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay\, fading stars of the 1950s. At the moment\, they’re playing Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac in rep in Buffalo\, New York with five actors. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue\, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee\, and if he likes what he sees\, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte\, everything that could go wrong does go wrong\, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing\, caused by Charlotte’s deaf\, old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body. \nTown and Gown Community Theater\n3524 S Perkins\nStillwater Ok 74075 \nBox Office 405 372 9122

Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid\, Beauty And The Beast\, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world. \nThe meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed\, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it\, BLOOD. SUMMARY:The Drunkard and The Olio
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a truly unique evening of audience participation fun in “The Drunkard\,” an “old time melodrama!” Boo and hiss the villain\, cheer on the hero\, sing along to some grand old songs\, and enjoy some of the Tulsa area’s finest talent in the “Olio” preceding the play. \nThis has been a weekly “Tulsa event” and one of the “Tulsa performing arts” venue since 1953! Every Saturday evening at Tulsa Spotlight Theater begins with the doors opening at 7:00 p.m.\, and the show starts at 7:15 with a singalong and the Olio: dancers\, musicians\, singers\, jugglers\, magicians\, or comedians. The main event is “an old-fashioned mellerdramer” called “The Drunkard.” During intermissions we serve concessions\, beer\, coffee\, soft drinks and (no kidding) tomatoes to toss at the villain. The “Riverside Studio is a Tulsa icon built in 1928\, and home of America’s longest-running play. The play is directed by Mark Roberts and Chuck Osuna. This is “Tulsa family entertainment” at its best!
