The play focuses on these poor but dedicated thespians doing their best while chaos is all around them: two kids fighting over who gets to play Tiny Tim\, a confused actor who thinks she’s in another show\, a haughty lead actor\, one actor playing both Bob and Mrs. Cratchit\, an out-of-control director\, thrown together props and costumes\, ridiculous scenery\, and tons of flubs and confusion. Director\, Tiphani Henderson is excited to present this a warm story for the holiday season. \nIn this hilarious Christmas classic\, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas! \nThis delightful show is adapted from the bestselling Young Adult book\, and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States. The crowd-pleasing comedy features plenty of great roles for children and adults\, a few favorite Christmas Carols\, and lots of laughs. \nProduction dates are November 28\, 29\, and 30\, 2025. We are excited to partner with Elk City’s Chamber of Commerce to help launch their opening weekend’s park festivities with this production at the Opera House.
