The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to present the ghostly classic Noël Coward play Blithe Spirit for two weekends in October. Performance dates are Oct.18– Oct. 27, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Playhouse located at 1800 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow.
Blithe Spirit, the much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and persistent Elvira who is conjured up by visiting medium Madame Arcati. Elvira’s plan to reunite with Charles goes awry and current wife Ruth’s vengeance throws the Condomine house into turmoil, providing far more firsthand research into the occult than Charles bargained for.
The BACP is pleased to welcome back the director of last season’s The Matchmaker, Frank Gallagher. Frank has assembled a “spirited” cast of characters sure to make this show a must-see for your Halloween season. The cast includes Adrian Alexander, Sally Allen, Brie Brown, Starr Hardgrove, Kerry Kavanaugh, Marla Taylor and Kari Baker Trickey.
