Mr. Potcher’s Holiday

Mr. Potcher cancels the arts and extracurricular activities in the school where he’s been hired as a consultant.  Darcy, desperate to fit in with the other kids tries to change his mind.  It backfires when she accidentally gives him the idea to cancel Holidays, too, with a magic calendar he got off the internet.  The outraged students ostracize Darcy.

Darcy has a nightmare that involves all the holidays and Plato and Shakespeare, too!  But they help her hatch a plan to correct the problem.  Darcy is amazed that the plan works and Mr. Potcher not only opens up to the beauty of life but also falls in love!!

Mr. Potcher’s Holiday was the first musical to win Texas Nonprofit Theatre’s biennial “TNT POPS!” competition.  These performances will be the Oklahoma Premiere, right here in Sands Springs.

Show dates in 2026:  February 26, 27, 28 at 7 pm and March 1, at 2:30 pm.

Saturday, February 28, 2026, Bob and Barbara Silberg will be visiting from Los Angelos, CA, to see their play at this Premiere.  Following the performance, they will stay for a talkback, answering questions about their careers and how to get started in the business of writing.
