OCTA Conference and Awards Luncheon

Join us for our 2024 Annual Conference, on Saturday, November 16, 2024!

This year’s Workshops will be held at Carpenter Square Theatre located at 1009 W Reno Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73106. 
Followed by the Annual Meeting, and Awards Luncheon at the Dunlap Codding Building, 609 W Sheridan Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.

The admission price of $45 for OCTA Individual Members or $50 for Non-OCTA Individual Members, includes 2 workshops and lunch.  Registration begins at 9:30 AM at the door.

How to prepare for OCTAFest!

A round table discussion about the do’s and don’t of OCTAFest and AACTFest.  Learn about OCTAFest and how to travel a show from past winners.
Rebecca Fry

Rebecca Fry has served several years on the OCTA Board of Directors. She has been a volunteer at Shawnee Little Theatre for over 20 years. Rebecca has a passion for live theatre and wants to share it with others.

Julie Tattershall

Masters in Human Relations from OU Directed Orbit Senior Citizens “Guys and Dolls” with Jeremy Stevens. Retired Artisic Director for Clark and Heller Theatre Touring original production of ‘Aesop Afoot’ 2012 Mary Kay Place Legacy Award for lifetime achievement to Tulsa Theatre Community 2014 Hall of Honor from OCTA.

Lightweight, Portable & Affordable

Step into the world of technical theatre and learn tips and tricks on sets, lighting and more.

Leslie Currell is a Technical Director and Lighting Designer from Oklahoma. She holds a BS in Technical Theatre from Oklahoma City University and an MFA in Technical Direction and Lighting Design from the University of Florida. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Professional Practice Technical Director and Scene Lab Manager at Oklahoma State University.

Leslie has been working professionally in theatre since 2004, although she has been involved with theatre for most of her life. She has worked with numerous theatre companies, such as Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, Sundance Summer Theatre in Utah, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre, Oklahoma City University, and Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park.

Leslie is also active with the Oklahoma Community Theatre Association and works with many community theatres throughout the state of Oklahoma serving in the promotion of excellence in theatre.
